One thing to keep in mind though, while the rhetoric from Macron and other European leaders seems extreme, in the end, everything is indeed on the table for Europe. When Ukraine falls, it is the whole castle of cards, fiat money that Europe represents which falls too. The credibility, the unstable markets, de industrialized economies will suddenly appear for what they truly are. The king is naked and has been for some time. No wonder they will keep pretending for as long as it takes!
