A great interview on a very important subject that most people misunderstand. The real subject is not to discuss if AI is already sentient or not as Blake Lemoine explains superbly below. The issue is to understand what it means and how we will deal with it, not as individuals but as a society. We are not ready. Worse, we are not preparing ourselves. Lamda may or may not be sentient, it most probably isn't, but eventually, we will succeed, maybe sooner than later. Then what?
