"How far will the financial authorities go to control people in the West?", may in fact be the wrong question. As long as things can stay as they are, no problem of course. What suddenly becomes different is when the financial system hit the wall. Then, what?
We may be about to know the answer to this question in 2026.
Digital IDs, CBDCs, Social Credit, Tokenization, and Agentic AI may not be implemented all at the same time. What we will see, is CBDC (digital currency) first with Digital ID developed in parallel on a voluntary basis initially. Tokenization will come later as well as social credit which will both require AI to be implemented at scale.
What is most concerning is that the people at the WEF are thinking ahead and already understand that by controlling "AI agent" they will directly control society in a way which will be almost impossible to bypass.
People will then realize that Middle Ages serfs had fewer rights but were able to escape the watchful eye of their lord far more easily than modern people will be able to escape "their" AI agent. But by then it will be too late. If you have any doubts about this, give a try to Windows 11, and then try to "escape" from the system (Log in without being online for example.) Good Luck!
