Interesting insight about the US nowadays. This confirms that the US has no plan, no strategy and not even tactics. With Iran, the curtain of imperial power has been lifted and the emperor is naked. The war itself has nothing to do with nuclear weapons since already 20 years ago Iran was on the list of countries to be subdued for total control of the Middle East so the US is just following the script. It didn't happen then only because Iran was a hard nut to crack and not knowing how to do it, previous Presidents wisely decided not to. Well, we now know how hard it really was!
So now what? This is almost impossible to answer. The loss of prestige for the Trump Administration is immense but on the other hand doubling down seems almost impossible. The crisis will probably continue to fester while Trump tries to exhaust Iran economically and Iran conversely tries to exhaust Trump politically. A game of chicken with not so peaceful spectators around. What could go wrong?
